View looking south of the "hanging Gardens" that have formed when waterfalls flowed from the contact at the base of a conglomerate. These ancient cascades with mineral-rich "hard water" have left travertine onyx drapes that contain impronts of fossil vegetation. The roadbed of theTonopah and Tidewater is seen in the middleground. Photograph taken from the purplish outcrop of Zabriskie Quartzite.
