Scanned 25 December 2017. I originally determined this A. geniculatus. The anthers are quite small, less than 1 mm., as can be seen on the lower left side of the inflorescence. The small length of the anthers was first noted by Janet Wingate. This character is more suggestive of A. carolinianus.
