Edgar Mine, Clear Creek County, Colorado. 140 m. east of the mine portal, 1.37 km. west northwest of the GNIS location of Idaho Springs. 39.7475°N, 105.5241°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2402 m. With Juniperus scoparia and Cercocarpus montanus. Basal leaves removed for DNA analysis. Approximate topotype.
