1.78 ac. public open space in Golden, between the high school, the golf course, Harmony Village, Cottonwood Villas, and other developments.

Designated a City of Golden Open Space in July 2025.

The Cottonwood Open Space is located behind Golden High School and is bordered by Harmony Village, Cottonwood, and Homestead neighborhoods, as well as the Fossil Trace Golf Course. Kinney Run Gulch is adjacent to golf course property, and the area slopes gently into a bowl-like terrain, potentially serving as flood control for Kinney Run Open Space.
