City of Golden Open Space, designated in the Open Space Master Plan, July 2025.

Kinney Run Open Space, established in 1998 as part of the Eagle Ridge subdivision, was designated to preserve wildlife habitat and natural areas in the southern part of Golden. A paved trail runs north-south through the space, connecting south Golden neighborhoods to downtown Golden. It is home to diverse vegetation and wildlife and features remnants of historic transportation and industrial activity.
